The first step to ensure your application is accepted is to understand what kind of flat you are applying for. The Housing Board of Delhi has introduced the B-Tech and E-Tech categories in order to obtain a clearer understanding of the types of flats available. The B-Tech category is for those who wish to own a three-room flat, while the E-Tech category is for those who want an apartment with a lot more space. You can apply for B-Tech or E-Tech apartments depending on what you prefer; however, there are some prerequisites that need to be met in order for your application to be accepted.
First, you will need to prove that you have enough funds available to cover the deposit and monthly instalments on your housing loan. Second, you should also show income from sources such as salary, rental income, or business profits. Lastly, if you are a first-timer applicant who does not own an HDB flat already, you will need a letter from your employer stating that they agree that it is appropriate for you to purchase an HDB flat at this time.
